But technology cannot replace a dependable person on the ground when physical presence is required.
In an emergency, someone may need to accompany a parent to a hospital, locate an important document, coordinate with a professional, visit a bank or government office, speak with service providers, or simply remain with the parent until the family can make further arrangements.
Informal Arrangements May Not Be Enough
